Cut a 6” W x 10" H inch hole into a piece of cardboard. If your dog can comfortably pass through then you buy a small dog door. If not, cut a 9" W x 13" H inch hole into a piece of cardboard. If your dog can comfortably pass through then you buy a medium dog door.
If your dog does not fit through either opening then install a large dog door. Our large dog door will accommodate labs and collies all day long. If you have a giant breed simply cut an 11" W x 17" H inch hole into cardboard and test to see if your dog passes through.
